he was super happy about planning a party.
so...if you are reading this blog and are my friend and didn't get invited to come to dinner, please don't be mad. i am so scatterbrained and didn't tell mark all the people to invite. but seriously you should see my wedding invite list. i am adding people all the time that i forgot. hello grandma. so i am preoccupied. anyway we went to the coyote grill and it was lovely.
remember a few posts back when i said i was a teetotaler? (oh you don't remember because my blog is so boring you don't read it anymore?) well if you remember that, it is no longer true. i am a lush. the waitress brought me this drink and said it was for me from cubbie. so i took a sip and i thought...this tastes funny and so i had mark take a sip and he was like that has a LOT of alcohol in it. so i told the waitress we wanted a virgin and then cubbie started laughing about how it was he birthday joke and she had known all along that it was alcoholic. oh man!! 30 years and this was my first taste of alcohol. not good, even in a margarita. 
(this shot was a reenactment)when we got back to mark's house for delicious strawberry shortcake, mei li had organized a puppet show with laminated pictures of all our friends so no i can make magnets out of them for when we move to washington. cute. thanks mei!
