fit the part

so, this shouldn't surprise you but the other day, mark and i were sitting in church and one of the guys from the bishopric came up to us and asked if we would talk to him after sacrament meeting. so we sat there and wondered what he could want. mark thought he wanted to ask us to speak and i thought that he wanted us to teach primary. so we sat there and listened to announcements and such and then all of the sudden the man who had spoken to us earlier as asking from the pulpit if we would stand. so we did. and then he called us to be primary teachers. then he got really flustered and said, "um, you need to sit down now" and then he explained to everyone that we hadn't been asked to be primary teachers yet. he was so flustered and the whole congregation was laughing. it was quite humorous. anyhow, so that is it, we are going to teach the 4 and 5 year olds. i am excited but a little leery. do you think the kids are going to listen to this man?:
hello, he has a neck beard. more evidence. it might frighten small children. so, do you think they will listen??he assures me they will. wish us luck, but at least this will keep my mind from wandering in relief society as it is wont to do.

4 and 5 year olds are the best. I just blogged about our kiddos that we taught in VA today and how much we miss them. You guys will be awesome!

Maybe they'll listen because they are too scared not to! That neck beard freaks me out and I'm a grown woman!

I am absolutely enamored of the neck beard. Bravo. Now picture me clapping very slowly, maybe 30-35 claps per minute (cpm).

Okay so I think they will listen because they will be amazed by your red eye and your honey's neck beard. You guys will be so interesting. Expect embarrassing questions from that age like, "why does he have lots of neck hair like a monkey?" It seems like they always somehow compared me to a monkey.

you'll be scary guy and scary guy's girlfriend (now wife) again! good work keeping up appearances. That was the age I taught as well -- you're going to love it!

Hell ya they'll listen..... With a beard like that, they'll either listen, or their parents will have to use a shovel to find the kiddies when it's time to go home..

How fun - and funny that they called you without actually calling you! They will totaly listen and LOVE you guys. I think Mark's beard is very "7 Brides for 7 Brothers"-ish.

they will listen out of sheer fear and maybe some fascination.

they won't listen. All these comments are wrong. They will want to spend the whole time talking about what they did that week at preschool and why their mommy got mad at their daddy for something or other and how so and so is their best friend and their pretty dress or awesome cowboy boots. but hey, that is way better than the mind wandering in relief society. They will love you guys. Neck beard and all.
