Heat Advisory from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Code Orange Unhealthy Air Today (8-8-07)
A Heat Advisory remains in effect from 1 p.m. this afternoon to 8 p.m. this evening. Forecast high temperatures today are expected to approach 100 degrees. This in combination with high humidity values will yield heat index values in excess of 105 degrees this afternoon.
A Heat Advisory means that the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.

This morning was the first morning this summer I remember feeling really uncomfortable because of the humidity/heat walking to work. Bleh.

Plugh! Luckily you have air conditioning in your office! PS who knew that Arizona had a MONSOON season?! Certainly not this girl! It has rained at least once every day that I have been here! Weird! PS I am greatly anticipating the Veromnt post...so no pressure or anything :)
we went through a hot spell out here for a while, too...100+ for i think 10+ days. yeesh. that's too hot. and it was funny listening to the weatherman say this morning, "it's going to be much cooler today...92." blah.
but i guess the humidity makes it worse, huh? yeah. you've got it bad...
What in the hell is a heat illness. Honestly? Are we talking sun stroke here. Because if we are. Just call it that people. Not 'heat illness' which sounds far more menacing.
